Apache 2.2.5 was not officially released by the Apache Software Foundation. Please do not request support for version 2.2.5 on the apache.org mailing lists.
We made Apache 2.2.5 available for download. The reason is that 2.2.5 has some important updates over 2.2.4 and the official released Apache 2.2.6 has issues under Windows (see here). ASF is not releasing 2.2.6 binaries till now, they have a hard time to solve the issue.
ASF was almost releasing 2.2.5 in August and all was looking fine. Suddenly, for some magic reason ASF started backporting changes and upgraded to a new version of APR, two of the changes are causing problems on Windows.
Apache 2.2.5 is working great, well tested and stable as rock and 2.2.6 has over 2.2.5 very minor changes affecting windows. None of these changes affects us.
