Hi Folks,

I want to write to a file the hostname and the port no through which the client connects to the server in to another jnlp file. Is it possible to do this by writing a servlet program and then deploying it at the Apache server cgi-bin or somwhere.
So whenever the request comes from the browser this servlet por some script (not sure) executes and writes into that file, the hostname and portno.

Please help.

Does access.log not show that info? Cause there is only port 80 for http or 443 for SSL (which can have a different log file). Of cause you can configure the output of the logs and may create a custom one.
