|
|
First off hello all! Im new to this forum as well as pHp and apache. Well web servers in general for that matter..
Now off to business..
I created and successfully hosted a MaNGOS server for WoW. I have created a registration page that I would like to host. Im using easyphp with the apache server built in and I have already configured the two.
My problem is I can access the website from within my network using kreepnok.no-ip.org:8080.. If i just type kreepnok.no-ip.org without the port I get my routers homepage. ???WTF??? Im using a dyndns obviously and on the router i have forwarded port 8080 to the system containing the site. (cox is blocking 80). Also outside of my network I cannot access the page at all. Im gonna assume this is a problem with my apache configuration but I have no idea where to start as stated this is my first day using these types of services.. Thanks for any help in advance |

If I got it right
apache:8080 <=> router:8080 <=> internet:8080
cox is your provider(??) which is bloking port 80? Or is that your router?
What is set in your httpd.conf after Listen ? |

Yes cox is blocking port 80.. so I used port 8080 forward through the router to the host system and httpd reads listen port 8080.. however since this thread was posted the page has been working (at least I was told it was) but canyouseeme.com says no.. mind giving it a try??

Hm, maybe your firewall is blocking that? Configured Windows firewall? Routerfirewall blocks external IP's??
That just some Idea's because I can't test it. Sorry! |

Well Ive re-enabled port 80 in my windows firewall and forwarded ports 80 and 8080 on my router.. I get claims that my website cannot be accessed outside of the router. Is there anyway I can test this myself through a proxy maybe?? I need the page for account signups so my inbox doesnt explode with requests.. Thanks for the info! |

Did you change the Listen in httpd.conf?
What if you disable Windows firewall? |
