Topic: mod_xsendfile 0.10 BETA

After some inquiries I decided to put some more work into mod_xsendfile.
The result is available as a beta.

Abstract
mod_xsendfile is a small Apache2 module that processes X-SENDFILE headers registered by the original output handler.

If it encounters the presence of such header it will discard all output and send the file specified by that header instead using Apache internals including all optimizations like caching-headers and sendfile or mmap if configured.

It is useful for processing script-output of e.g. php, perl or any cgi.

Changes

• Won't override Etag/Last-Modified if already set.
  
• New Configuration directive: XSendFileIgnoreEtag
  
• New Configuration directive: XSendFileIgnoreLastModified
  
• New Configuration directive: XSendFilePath
  
• Removed Configuration directive: XSendFileAllowAbove
  Use XSendFilePath instead.
  
• Improved header handling for FastCGI/CGI output (removing duplicate headers).

Thanks for this post.
I've installed and activated mod_xsendfile.so for APache 2.2.15 in WampServer under Windows Vista SP2.
I've some doubts about configuration since XSendFilePath isn't allowed in .htaccess. I try putting the config options in <IfModule> ... </IfModule>, and it seems to me that the script must be in the same directory defined by XSendFilePath. Is it true or am I doing something wrong.
Could you please give some more explanation about configuring this module for Apache?
