Hi everyone, I finally managed to make the MSI installer for installing Apache 2.2.4 with mod_ssl and mod_deflate.
I compiled the Apache, OpenSSL and Zlib using Visual C++ 2005 Professional SP1 and latest Platform SDK. And I compiled OpenSSL using MASM and Zlib using tom's instructions in this thread > http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?t=785
They were very helpful.
Anyway, I wanted to make an MSI installer for Apache with OpenSSL cause I couldnt find one anywhere. So here it is. Please try it out and let me know if you have any problems. I tried it on my old P3 which has Windows XP and "it works!". Havent tried it on any other version of Windows.
Heres the download link.

Did you see the file name? LOL! Instead of the no_ssl you see only "ssl". I was planning to put yes_ssl but decided that it would look better with only "ssl". LOL!
And thanks again Steffen for your help. (http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?p=6664)
If anyone installs this, please let me know whether it worked or not. |
