What OS are you running?
DNS Hosting Applications? Like a DNS Server? or Dynamic DNS?
BIND, SimpleDNS, and Posadis are popular DNS Servers with quite a bit of flexibility. BIND (open source) is very powerful, but can be a bear to set up. Posadis (open source) is a little easier to deal, yet still powerful enough to do the job. SimpleDNS will cost you, but it's easy to use and has all the required features to serve DNS.
If you need Dynamic DNS (your IP varies due to ISP [you do not have a static IP]) try no-ip.com, dyndns.org, or zonedit.com. They are all about the same as far as service goes, and they were all free at least the last time I looked. |

ok sry for not being spacific enugh. I'm running Xp. And would like to run a dns server. Currently trying to configure bind 9.2 but might consider using Posadis like you mentioned.
I appriciate the help and quick response |
