I am attempting to proxy a couple of different sites through an https virtual host that I have setup. The mod_proxy_html module is installed and is rewriting urls as I would expect. However, not all sites that I need to proxy require the same doctype (one is HTML and one is XHTML). This is a problem because as far as I understand it there is no way to stop mod_proxy_html from removing the doctype. I can use the ProxyHTMLDoctype directive to set a doctype but this will not work for all sites. Is there any way to turn off this feature in mod_proxy_html so that it will not remove the doctype tag? If not, is there a workaround for specifying a doctype for a specific proxy alias? |
