How do I get about running two servers? I want to one day have a Linux server and a windows server, but i am not sure how to do that. I would want to run some domain names on one server and some on the other. |

It's as easy as having two servers...
I know that sounds dumb but if you can have one, you can run 100, or 1000 servers.
Are they going to be on one IP?
So if you wanted to run both on one IP, putting some URL's on the Linux box and others on the Windows server, then you could reverse proxy into the "other" box. It does put some strain on the front end server having to do a lot of work for proxy management, but I do it and it works very well. The nice thing is the visitors never know what's going on, it does not re-write the URL for the client.
Do the servers need to share data such as network drives as well? |
