Hi,
When i installed an update from Windows Update: KB920342, Apache did'n start anymore. Even i tried to start it manually, it crashed on starting. I had to uninstall: KB920342 that Apache started.
I suggest you to not install: KB920342 (Optional Update in the Update site) from the Windows Update.
My OS: Win XP Pro 5.1.2600 Finnish (SP 2), All other updates installed
Steffen's builded Apache 2.2.3
