For the ones who want to run scripts without user visits or on a determined time need a cronjob http://www.cronjob.de/ is free. There is one issue, it is only in german Embarassed But maybe usefull for some ones.

From what i understand.
It's like Cron on UNIX/LINUX/MAC

You can tell it to visit a URL at an interval or a given date.

You could ofcourse also use the windows sheduler though.

Personally I like pycron
http://www.kalab.com/freeware/
Uses cron jobs like unix, and has a nice gui (it's in english too).

You could ofcource also use

wget.exe http://yourdom.tld/somepath/script.php?query

and make that run via the windows shedular

wget isn't nativ windows, is it? it's from cyqwin? I know that only under *nix based systems
