We are discussing a package for Windows (for a packets manager named Chocolatey) because since Apache haus don't do release builds anymore, a user asked us to change the source to use your builds.
We agree but we need to know if the build you are doing is exactly the same as the one from Apache haus, if it is, the package will just use your URL, if not we need to create a new package.
We need to know this to know if the user will have a change and therefore potentially an unintended change
You can come and discuss here if you want too, but I think the forum is still a better place.

It is not only Apache, also Dependencies like OpenSSL, Curl etc.
We do not know the AH build scripts for Apache and Dependencies.
Also not aware that AH uses Apache and Dependencies sources unmodified. We at AL always notify users in the change log when the source is changed for example an early fix. Not seen that at AH. |
