Hello, First time poster, 20 years tinkering with home server - Apache/2.4.54 (Debian)
Last year I somehow was able to install an SSL cert, but it has expired and my remedy attempts to reinstall it have given me a lot of trouble.
I have even tried starting over by installing the OS and Apache on a new disk and Chrome now gives "-" 408 0 "-" "-" when I try to open a place-holder page (but other browsers can get the page) If I try to get the page using Chrome on a machine I haven't used in the past (I work at a university so I have lots of machines to try) it gives me the page.
What information can I give you to solve this?
Thanks a lot, Jon |

FOUND IT
The bookmarked link in my browser's Bookmark Bar began with https://
and the page failed to load.
(as mentioned my cert had expired)
when I request the page using http://
pops right up.
This was not obvious to me until it was very obvious!
Now I will attempt to install a valid SSL certificate. |
