Hi,
We have a main intranet hosted on apache 2.4.6 (CentOS) with the url format https://intranet.domain.co.uk
We want to setup other sites on the same server with the format http://something.docs.domain.co.uk
I have setup a virtualhost as the below
Code: | <VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName something.docs.domain.co.uk
DocumentRoot /var/www/mkdocs/ic/documentation-repository/site
ErrorLog /var/www/mkdocs/ic/documentation-repository/site/error.log
CustomLog /var/www/mkdocs/ic/documentation-repository/site/requests.log combined
</VirtualHost> |
The problem is that it just redirects to https://intranet.domain.co.uk.
If i change the Servername to just http://docs.domain.co.uk or http://somethingdocs.co.uk it works fine, it only seems to go wrong when I set it up as a sub-subdomain in the format http://something.docs.domain.co.uk
All DNS records point to the same server address.
Could anyone tell me what im missing here! I am eager to learn
Thanks,
Brendan |

That seems more to be an issue with the software your are running rather than apache. |
