I just install Apache 2.4 on Windows 7 Pro. I installed Apache as a service. However it fails to start, when I try to start it in Windows service I get Service Specific Error 1. If I start it by double clicking httpd.exe it works fine.
Does anyone know how to fix the error? |

Have a look at the apache's error-logs.
You may find useful information in Windows Event Viewer, too.
If it is running "by hand" and not as a service you may remove the service and reinstall it ("httpd.exe -k uninstall" and "httpd.exe -k install"). |

I found the issue. I used regedit and went to
Local Machine-System-Current Control Set-Services-Apache2.4 In the parameters I found ConfigArgs Data was "as service" I deleted it saved it, rebooted and it started normally in Windows Services. |
