I am running Apache 2.4.17 (Win32) with OpenSSL/1.0.2d. I need to upgrade OpenSSL to version 1.0.2j. The way I am doing this is to simply overwrite the following files in the Apache bin directory:
HashInfo.txt
libeay32.dll
OpenSSL License.txt
openssl.exe
ReadMe.txt
ssleay32.dll
This simple approach has worked for me on other installations of Apache. The difference in this instance is that Apache is proxying an application running in the Jetty web server.
The Apache web server itself start up OK after the upgrade.
After I upgrade OpenSSL, the browser displays the 502 error, sometimes with the text "The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server".
I've tried clearing the browser cache to no effect. |

Whithout the upgrade all is fine with proxying ?
Where did you copied the files from ? Never seen Hashinfo.txt.
Copy also the new mod_ssl.
Even better, just upgrade to 2.4.23 ! |
