I have multiple WordPress sites on a cloud server running on WHM/Cpanel. WordPress runs wp-cron.php every time the site gets hit.
The apache error log gets filled with:
[Mon Jul 25 16:09:39.963799 2016] [:error] [pid 6761:tid 140622814537472] [client 2600:3c03::f03c:91ff:fe79:6c48:54484] File does not exist: /var/www/html/wp-cron.php
I previously had the same sites on another cloud server with the same versions of centos 7, whm, php, maria db, etc without any issues.
I've read that it's a hosts file issue but that doesn't make sense to me that it worked fine on another instance with no need to edit the hosts file.
Can anyone help?

| Did you set the correct path for document root in your wordpress config? |
