|
|
The ASF HTTP-Project made a branche 2.4.17-dev available with mod_h2 and other necessary changes needed for mod_h2. Mod_h2 is contributed by Stefan Eissing, a great job.
A short intro HTTP/2 is at https://http2.akamai.com/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP/2
Mod_h2 is based on https://nghttp2.org/
I have tested HTTP/2 with latest Chrome and Windows 10. Firefox supports it also.
To see if your browser is using HTTP/2, Chrome has a nice extension HTTP/2 and SPDY indicator, with Windows 10 you can see it with F12 / Network.
ApacheLounge is running it now, hope it is going well at your end.
Please test it with your browser !!!
When your shared experience is fine, then I make the build available.

I got 2 503s about 10-15 minutes ago. I've never gotten a 503 out of AL that I can remember in the 10 years I have been coming around.
Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
You should see it in your log around oh 7:05 PM your time. I'm thinking because h2c/h2 connections are kept open that they may be kept open much to long for a busy server. |

Thanks for reporting.
I did a manual shutdown of Apache http port:80 : Restart Time: Monday, 21-Sep-2015 19:08:33 W. Europe Daylight Time.
I have a Appache 2.4.17 SSL only port:443 in front of Apache 2.4.16 port:80. So 2.4.17 was not able to access the 2.4.16 during shutdown/start. |
