Hello,
I have questions about a Wordpress installation on an intranet Server. I installed wordpress with buddypress and several plugins. problem is, that the server respond time seem very slow. For testing purpose I copied the whole system to a hosted server. There it runs fine.
Another strange issue, that there are some things working differently. I have the following scenario:
Intranet server site openend Firefox in one browser tab and my copied page on public server on second tab. So it's the same computer, the same browser and the same system only running on different servers. On public server I have several javascript features available, like drag and drop profile picture upload with dropzone. On intranet server it's missing. I only have basic upload button. The wordpress and buddypress version is exactly the same. Can this be an server issue?
Unfortunately the IT-Departement itself has no odea where the problem is. I only have PHP Info of the intranet server and the public server.
How can I find the problem?
The only thing I have is PHP Info of both servers. Will this be helpful? |

Are the settings of the servers are the same? How is the connection of the server? Are the servers in the same network segment? |

I think thats the problem. I don't think that the settings are the same. As I am no Pro I have no idea what is wrong...
No they are not on the same network segment... |

Ask for the apache config files and compare them.
Also you might export all the wordpress settings from your live server with a plugin. I use Akeeba Backup but there is a bunch of others.
Then you are able to import all the settings and content. You will be able to play with the settings to checkout if a wordpress setting or a plugin setting is the issue. |
