| I just downloaded apache 2.4.12 and when I had extracted the files and ran httpd it error messaged cannot run vcruntime140.dll is not found. any suggestions? I am running windows eight and tryed both win32 and win64. |

| I have the same problem on win7 and I just installed " VC14 vcredist_x86.exe" but i still get the same error message " VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing" |

Sure you installed the correct vcredist x86 or X64 ?
Check in Windows Installed Programs if it is installed. |

| Good post, I thought that already will have to reinstall the OS. I've tried everything he found, helped only this http://fix4dll.com/vcruntime140_dll. Everything is easy and simple, find the desired file, and do the replacement. Good luck. |

Is an old version.
Be careful to download from a non Microsoft source, not advised ! |
