I have recently uninstalled wamp with the view of upgrading to Wamp 2.5.
The uninstall with 'Perfect Uninstaller' went ok, it didn't appear to delete all files, it left a few but they were locked.
I then downloaded Wamp 2.5 for 64bit. It installed ok but picked up the locked files.
The files in question were
'alias'
'mysql'
'Smarty' This was a tutorial
plus some other tutorials.
Firstly how do I go about unlocking these files and secondly I think I'm going to have a 'path' problem. |

Cancel the previous post.
I decided to uninstall again and as advised, download the 32bit version.
Realising I'm probably on a hiding to nothing I deleted all the files that were hanging on, that included all the files that were locked and getting in the way and at the same time saving away from wamp anything I could.
The result was good leaving one small error that I need some advice on resulting from the reinstall.
I don't have a link from the 'Wampserver Homepage'-'Your Projects' folder to the 'parent' directory. The link to the www folder allows me to place items into the folder but there is no return link to open the files. I can key in to the url bar the link and that works ok. |
