I hope this is a trivial question.
I very much like the "readme.txt" that Apache appends to the directory listings. That is, when a browser GETs a directory, the text in that file is put underneath the list of files therein.
Now, my question is whether multiple readme files are allowed.
I have two hundred accessible directories on my site that may or may not already have a readme file in them. Those readme files have specific info about that directory. I'd like to add a more general readme to ALL directories. I'm hoping I don't have to go into each existing readme file and add that general info. I'd like it if I could just add a second readme to the directory, such that both are appeneded, but I don't know what to call that second one. "readme1.txt" doesn't work. |

Well you could add a generell HeaderName /HEADER.html to the vhost. |
