The PHP development team announces the immediate availability of PHP 5.5.5. This release fixes about twenty bugs against PHP 5.5.4, some of them regarding the build system.

All PHP users are encouraged to upgrade to this new version.

My PHP 5.4 builds are with OpenSSL 1.0.1e, while php.net uses OpenSSL 0.9.8y for PHP 5.4. Be careful if you mix them, but it can be useful if you have a dual setup with PHP 5.3/5.4 and PHP 5.5.

Heuristics are hard to fight against. Send them a sample to analyze it:
