Do you happen to know any good lightweight servers for Windows that could be set up "in front" of Apache to serve static files and proxy other requests to Apache? I've tried LigHTTPd, but it dies at 256 connections, no matter what the settings are... |

I've decided to go with nginx. Its setup is pretty fast and easy, and it works good, offloading SSL, gzip and static files stuff from Apache. The only drawback is 1024 connection limit, which hasn't been ever hit even with Apache. |
