Helping someone move a website from one WAMP stack to another. The site is currently running on Server 2008 R2 64 Bit and has Apache 2.2.22, PHP 5.4.3, & MySQL 5.5.24. also all 64bit.
I need to move over to a different WAMP stack that is the same with the exception of Apache being 2.4.2.
How do you translate a 2.2.22 httpd.conf into a 2.4.2 one?
Is there anything else I need to worry about changing besides that config file if everything else stays the same? |

I saw that page, a little intense...
I am not trying to learn how to build an apache server from scratch. I am taking someone elses work and just moving it to a different version of apache.
What would be ideal would be something telling me what lines I need to worry about making sure are changed because otherwise the website wont work. I really do not have time to learn what every command does to recode this thing. |

You can use most of you existing config. The thing that has changed is the auth stuff (Allow,Deny)
I recommend to install 2.4 parallel to your existing 2.2 and then migritate.
When I made it, I took just my vhosts into the new config and adjusted the auth stuff. |
