Topic: Strange problems using 2.4.3

I'm having all kind of problems using following version of apache on Windows.

Apache 2.4.3 IPv6 and Crypto enabled as build by apacheLounnge FIRST CHOICE
Build with apr-1.4.6 apr-util-1.4.1 apr-iconv-1.2.1 openssl-1.0.1c zlib-1.2.7 pcre-8.30 libxml2-2.7.8 lua-5.1.5 expat-2.1.0
httpd-2.4.3-win32.zip info 18 Aug '12 11.012K

PGP Signature(Public PGP key), SHA1-SHA512 Checksums

A) general controll:

APache install seems to work but ddisplays help page ?
Appache httpd.exe -k start fails only shows start help page ..... is this an indication the aug build is wrong till october ???? Tried to reinstall completely all is reproducable.
Not a single entry in any logs.

Blocking for batch processing.
Seems to work using simply httpd.exe NO options but not sure what is started then.

Is this a BUild problem

Many Authorisation problems with this version!
Did not manage to setup in a week due to unclear specification - change documentation or plain errors



Please advise on validity of the build !!!! 2.4.3

Please be more specific, hard to understands what your issues are:

No issues reported, it should work

What is the help page ?

No issues reported with 2.4.3, already tons of users we have. Documentation at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/upgrading.html can help you.

Thank you if multiple other users are working it must be me although I've the exact same problem on multiple machines multiple installs
but all is showing as build is bad


There is nothing to be specific about the herlp Usage: httpd [-D name]......
it is the classical help showing all the options .....
httpd -k start shows she same as httpd help just like a wrong command showing all the options as httpd -k start to start
tried all possible space combinations no effect at all
only httpd.exe no options works
httpd -k install seems to work but shows the same help file inconsistently

it realy looks like the august build is corrupt. (even downloading multiple times offers no difference)


Httpd monitor does not seem to communicate as well it offers no communication with httpd (request operation has failed ,but no logs what so ever)
As I start manualy using the simple command "httpd.exe " NO options all starts ok
But I lose all remote controll facilities ....


Is that build realy ok ???

in need for simple authorisation as

authtype Digest
authprovider dbd
queries
require valid-user

the above code worked perfectly in 2.3.x but now all is failing with any combination I make .
password is never asked user is let in no questions asked and or error 500 internal communication error
no details given in log file

As far we know, there are no issues with this build.

Maybe you have some mixed up, and try to start clean.

Use the Auth stuff as in 2.2.x (allow, deny etc.), that still works and is not so complicated.
