Trying to install phpBB v3 now. Install fails. Currently running on Win32, meaning it's emo:

* Apache 2.4
* PHP 5.4
* MySQL 5.5
* phpMyAdmin

I have uncommented the MySQL related "extension=" lines in php.ini but phpBB's native installer claims there's no MySQL server and phpMyAdmin claims the MySQL related extensions (in php.ini) are not loaded.

Meanwhile, the MySQL Server says everything is peachy and wonders why nobody is talking to it. It's very sensitive, you know. Hurt feelings and all.

Anybody got any ideas that may be helpful? If you want to see my php.ini file, I can arrange that. Everything else works fine. Apache runs with no errors, PHP does its thang with .php files, and MySQL is just sitting there, wasting cycles, alone and uncomforted, cold in the sleepless night, begging for a little warmth and contact - somebody to talk to, like, say, phpBB... It's so sad... Crying or Very sad

At this point, since phpBB isn't installing, the server is not publicly accessible because I don't want any outside shenanigans mucking up my hard work. Wink

No errors to report from MySQL, but Apache reports the following from PHP:

Quote:
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'ext\\php_mysql.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'ext\\php_mysqli.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'ext\\php_openssl.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'ext\\php_pdo_mysql.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'ext\\php_soap.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'ext\\php_sockets.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'ext\\php_tidy.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0

I checked the EXT folder and they're all there, and the correct version, and the EXT pointer in php.ini is set properly.

in php.ini you have to define the complete path like C:\php\ext instead of just .\ext

I adjusted the paths accordingly, and I still get the error, only now it includes the full path:

Code:
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\\php5\\ext\\php_fileinfo.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\\php5\\ext\\php_mysql.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\\php5\\ext\\php_mysqli.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\\php5\\ext\\php_openssl.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\\php5\\ext\\php_pdo_mysql.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\\php5\\ext\\php_soap.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\\php5\\ext\\php_sockets.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:\\php5\\ext\\php_tidy.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0

Should I change it to an Apache-friendly formatted path?

No, it is not running. When I attempt to run it, it fails:

"phpMyAdmin - Error

The mysql extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration."

OK, now I'm really phracked. I removed PHP and reinstalled from the same download I was using before (5.4.4) and now Apache won't start:

Apache wrote:
httpd: Syntax error on line 164 of C:/Apache2.4/conf/httpd.conf: Module "sapi\\apache2handler\\mod_php5.c" is not compatible with this version of Apache (found 20110619, need 20120211). Please contact the vendor for the correct version.
