I get a password dialog when I access my apache2 website http, but I get error 403 (Access Forbidden) and no password dialog when I try to access https. I can also successfully access https -- if I don't password protect the directory (in other words, SSL certificate works okay). Among other things, I have iFolder running successfully.

Any thoughts on why the authentication dialog fails to trigger when accessing https?

Install: OpenSUSE 11.2/Apache2

SOLUTION: the document root in my vhost-ssl.conf file was wrong -- it was the default location and not the one I set up in my httpd.conf.
