|
|
hello everyone,
i've been running this apache server for quite a while now, but i've always wondered why my download limit in LAN is always capped at around 2 mb/s. my laptop is connected on the same router as this PC.
i'm running windows xp sp2, apache 2.2.8, php 5.2.6
PHP.ini:
; Maximum allowed size for uploaded files.
upload_max_filesize = 40M
I'd be happy for every reply! |

Maybe your LAN connection operates only with 10 Mb/s ?
Windows is reservating Some speed for it self.
Make sure that your LAN works with 100MB Fullduplex or 1 Gb
Make sure that not firewall or virus scanner filter / checking a incomming streams.
That's what I guess. |

hello,
first of all thanks for your replies.
i have tried the suggestions from that thread you linked bentogoa, but it didnt change a thing.
james blond,
i dont really know how to check if its fullduplex or not or if its running at 100 mbps.. but i know that when i copy files via the network its quite fast, like a 200 mb file is done in a few seconds.
any more infos would be greatly appreciated =) |

Do you use QoS ? Apache does not work with it well (sometimes) |

Probably its router issue. The routers i used cant provide more speed than 2,5-3MB/s in ideal conditions. |
