Hi there.

Vista Ultimate with SP1.

I have installed a bundle, easyPHP. It consists of PHP, MySQL and Apache. (I don't know which versions of each.)

After installing this, I got this message upon starting Apache:
Apache cannot be runned: another web server use the Web port or port is
blocked by firewall.

After this I disabled the firewall and uninstalled IIS. I uninstalled easyPHP and re-installed it. No joy - same error.
Because I was so eager to get this up and running, I formatted my HDD
and did a fresh install. After som 47 updates and an anti-virus
programme, I installed easyPHP. Still no luck with Apache as I get the
same message.

I really need to get this working. I'm a hobby web developer and "upgraded" from XP Prof SP2 to Vista Ultimate and need to have mySQL and PHP running for my web development.

Please help!
Deon

You may watch

Also you have to run apache as Adminstrator, even when you loged in as Administrator (only if UAC is on)

Please choose a better Subject / title for your question than urgent help for a newbie or something like that!
