Moved all the domains away from www.register.com , including apachelounge.com.
Reasons, I was not so happy with register.com anymore:
Prices going up and up for a domain renewal, now $39.99 annually. Too much when compared too Google and Zoneedit which are in the $15 range. Support and Communications are too much US-Phone driven nowadays, too expensive to call from Europe. And lately they had a security issue ( https://notice.register.com ) a very bad thing.
Moved some domains to https://domains.google.com , good price.
Apachelounge.com is transferred to www.zoneedit.com , had already some domains (free)running on zoneedit for years, fast and good (email) support.
www.zoneedit.com has some nice extra's :
MX-backup for my mail server,
Host-Monitorig http(s),ftp,smtp,SSH
usage graphs,
easy gui,
cheap
etc.
The transfer went easy and fast, and no downtime.

thanks for the info. I just learn something today. I thought Google retired that domain service back in 2004 or 2005 can't remember exactly.? and a big WOW for zoneedit I forgot about them guys. I wonder if I can remember my user name and password..lol Ive been using namecheap for about I guess 15 years. always great support.
