First time posting so I'm sory if I'm in the wrong place.
I have apache and I went and had a look at my access.log and noticed the same IP tried to get into phpmyadmin with over 100 attempts with different paths. I have phpmyadmin to on my work on localhost
My question are:
Is this normal
Why is it happening
What is a way I can stop it

1) sadly true. There are a lot of ppl scanning the internet for a way to access databases.
2) See number 1
3) You can block the IP in the apache config
Code: |
Require not 5.9.23.231
|
yet it would be better to block that IP on your firewall in the router. |
