Hello,
I'm using Ubuntu Server 14.04 and Apache 2.4.17 via PPA. mod_http2 is not present in mods-available. Is this expected?

Same issue here, I'm using the PPA of Ondřej Surý.
I've send him an email to see if this can be fixed.
Update: try adding this to your config file:
LoadModule http2_module /usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_http2.so |
