I wanted to know the relationship between MPM’s (prefork/worker) & php-pthread.
Is they are interdependent with each others?

It depends if you run PHP over (f)cgi(d) or as module.
If you run it over (f)cgi(d) the process tree looks like this

The green ones are the threads (with worker mpm).

Working with pthreads the PHP processes will create sub threads itself.
