nothing in event viewer anywhere about anything related to this. exe is just not running. suspect it's either an ARM or x64 binary in disguise rather than x86.

I need to get a web server up by thanksgiving for my sister who needs to learn skills to get a job, and the machine is going out the door. help. notify me is rebuilt correctly.

Where do you see the message : not a valid win32 application ?

Where did you downloaded Apache ?

It should work when you download the VC11 Win32 version from Apache Lounge and read the Readme.txt.

double-clicking http or running it or trying httpd -k install. httpd.conf is configured.
exe just won't go.
what PE exe signature type is ARM vc x64 vs x86?
maybe I can identify it by examination.
downloaded it from apache lounge - I didn't think anything else was appropriate on this forum.
BTW, apache needs to be buildable by mingw-w64+MSYS (gcc).
I think it was the openssl-0.9.8 version. just realized what I was downloading. other one is fine.
I was trying http://www.apachelounge.com/download/win32/
or
the one on the downloads button. I can't be sure hich.
