I have Installed apache server(lampp) in my linux laptop under local server connection. My System IP Address is 10.29.32.190 . This apache server is accessing fine for all ip addresses like 10.29.32.XXX . But it is not accessing from IP Address series 10.29.33.XXX or 10.29.34.XXX etc.., How can I serve my files to other IP range under local network.
Need Help please! |

it doesn't seem to be an apache problem, but of your networking settings in your LAN or your firewall. But my guess is that the LAN segments are separated. |

No earlier it is working under my current network. Now after few days when i installed same lampp it is not working. I think I need to config Listen set .
Can't we give access for other IP ranges like my current IP 10.29.32.XXX to IP for different series 10.29.33.xx or 34.xx , 35.xx .
Any Ideas! |

Ok.Let it be a Lan / Firewall problem.
Suppose To share files from one pc to another pc using lan wire using HFS(http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/) (in my case) .
I configured IP for PC1 : 10.20.3.11
&
I configured IP for PC2 : 10.20.3.12 (Subnet Mask for both PC's : 255.255.255.0) . It is Accessing fine without any problem. If I change IP Address Series like to any PC to 10.20.4.XX or 10.20.5.XX it won't work. But it works fine for all IP's under 10.20.3.xxx.
Is there any http file server to give access for all IP address series in easy manner other than apache or guide me how can i do this with apache.
Hope I get solution .. |

Apache will listen to all ip addresses on the computer it is sitting on. That said, your network connection can have more than one ip address.
http://www.apachehaus.net:88/img/netcons.png
Listen 80
This way, Apache would end up listening on 10.20.3, 10.20.4 & 10.20.5. It's worth a try. |
