Hi, sorry but I would like to ask how to upgrade Apache.

I have a VPS with Debian 7 64bit and Apache 2.2.22. When I have installed Apache (September) automatically it has installed 2.2.22.

Now I have read there's new version, 2.4. I should to upgrade to it?
And how I can upgrade via SSH or Webmin?

Or I wait?

Thank you very much in advance, sorry for noob question Embarassed

If you still want to use webmin, there is currently no 2.4 for Debian 7.

if you don't use the gui of webmin you can compile apache 2.4 yourself via ssh. See http://mariobrandt.de/archives/apache/compling-apache-2-4-on-ubuntu-or-debian-519/

The disadvantage of compiling it yourself is that you have to compile it over and over for every new version and security patch. For myself I do that, but you have to know your software.
If you are not deep into it you should stick to the 2.2 which is provided with security patches and updates by debian maintainers.
