Hi guys, hope someone here can help. Have been looking for a couple of weeks to try and do what i want but cant figure out where im going wrong.
I had a server running debian as an email, web, file, mysql server as well as a few other things.
Requirements changed so decided to downsize my server onto a raspberry pi running raspbian.
Now what i want to do is dovecot & postfix mail server with roundcube as webui, deluge server, couchpotato, sickbeard & owncloud all accessable through reverse proxy on the host using subdomains.
I had succesfully got the reverse proxy to work on my old server, but the different apps were running on vms on the host with their own ip's. I now want them all on the raspberry.
I have up to now got all the differnet servers and apps working on the raspberry. bind setup on the host with the relevant subdomains setup all pointing to the same ip. dns setup with my registra pointing to my public ip, and proxiedhosts file setup like the way i had it on my last machine.
My raspberrys hostname is mail.iaincstott.co.uk and the subdomains i want are
iaincstott.co.uk for my website
deluge.iaincstott.co.uk for deluge
sickbeard.iaincstott.co.uk for sickbeard
couchpotato.iaincstott.co.uk for gueswhat
webmail.iaincstott.co.uk for roundcube
The problems i am running into are
Proxied hosts are working for the apps running on ports, so deluge.iaincstott.co.uk forwards to 192.168.0.104:8112. but webmail is install into /var/www/roundcube wont display - error 502
mail.iaincstott.co.uk displays the page in the /var/www root and iaincstott.co.uk just times out.
I am also trying to connect an email client via imap and am having some difficulty getting that to work and dont know if the symptoms of that will help with this problem. If im on my own network at home it cant connect, but if im on a different network, like work or using my mobile data it will.

In short it works from the outside, but not from the inside. So you have a Dns issue inside or you are not using the reverse proxy inside.
I guess that inside you connect directly while you should go outside and come in over your router. |
