Hej all,
i have a vServer with Debian 6 and have some problems that i cannot solve and understand. I hope you can help me.
Every few weeks it happens that my E-Mail and FTP Client at the same time can not login to the Mail- or FTP Server for 30-60 seconds. When i look to the LOG files in the shell with "tail -f" i see that there is a connection, than nothing happens for 30-60 Sekonds and then suddenly the client login correctly to the server.
The result is, that sometimes the FTP client can not login with following error "time exceeded". And the E-Mail client at the same time opens a promt to insert the password for the connection. Sometimes i can login and sometimes not, but i have always to wait for 30-60 seconds.
After a few days the problem disapears and everything is fine till it happens again.
What i have done till now is to raise the settings under /etc/courier in pop3d and imapd and /var/apache2/apache2.conf without a result.
Can someone explain me where to search the problem?
Kind regards,
ePole |

Why do you think that your problem is apache related? |

the apache webserver process has nothing to do with your FTP server nor your mail server.
All three are different processes.
You have to figure out what is blocking your system. |
