Hi,

I haven't updated my webserver in a while, i'm just wondering if Eacellerator is something nessesary these days on webservers? I remember back in 2007 that php scripts were running really slow unless you had these modules running.

I can't seem to find a eaccellerator for the newer versions of apache, what happened to it?

What's your recommendations?

Eaccelerator development is on a low (if one of the devs is working at it at all). So don't expect a new version of eAccelerator.

But there are nice alternatives:

opcache (in php 5.5 core , and module for php 5.4)
wincache (for windows of course)
UAPC (works nice with opcache. infact a common combi on *nix systems)

Xcache works well too.
