Apache 2.2.24 Win32 and Win64 are now available here at the download pages.

When you have hangs, slow traffic and/or when having in your log entries like Asynchronous AcceptEx failed. You can try the following settings:
Win32DisableAcceptEx
EnableSendfile Off
EnableMMAP off
The binaries are also tested with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.
Apache 2.2 is "old" now. This 2.2 is just maintenance for those unable to upgrade to 2.4 at this time.
We consider the Apache HTTP Server 2.4.4 release to be the best version of Apache available, and encourage users of 2.2 versions to upgrade.
