Recently I've changed our web server software from Zend Server CE 5.6 to Apache/2.2.23 (Win64)+mod_fcgid/2.3.7 mod_ssl/2.2.23+OpenSSL/1.0.1c+PHP5.2.17 stack.
For testing purposes this new stack was started on ports 81 and 444 and I've noticed strange thing during testing websites - the upload speed was about 3-4 times higher than usual. Then I shut Zend Server down and set up the new stack to serve on ports 80 and 443. Surprisingly, upload speed went down. Nevertheless, if I connect via HTTPS (port 443), the upload speed is high again! Any idea why this is happening?
