I am using Websense which is running version 2.2.4 of Tomcat. I discovered on your web site http://www.apachelounge.com/download that there is version 2.4.2 available.
I noticed that there are versions 5-7 of Tomcat available on the Tomcat download site http://tomcat.apache.org. There is no mention of version 2 on this site.
My security folks see only version numbers and they think that your version 2 is an out-of-date version of the other versions of Tomcat.
Can you explain the differences between the Tomcat that is available on your website and the versions that are available on the other Tomcat site? |

The downloads here are the "Apache HTTP Server" and not "Apache Tomcat".
See http://httpd.apache.org |

It now appears that Websense misnamed their HTTP server WebsenseTomCat. It now appears to be Apache HTTPD that they are using. |
