Hi folks,
I wrote a while back about a problem I had, where abuse was bringing my server to a crawl. Specifically, I was seeing very many requests for a large file from a small number of IP addresses, gobbling up my bandwidth and grinding my server to a halt.
I posted here and was pointed towards the mod_bandwidth module, which I used to limit the bandwidth usage of the site in question and that sorted things out.
Now, I'm looking at moving to Apache 2.4. My questions are:
Any plans to compile mod_bandwidth for Apache 2.4?
Or failing that, any suggestions of other ways to deal with this problem? Perhaps limiting concurrent connections per IP or another way to cap the bandwidth (ideally, per-site).

| For now, there is mod_ratelimit included in 2.4. It's not as pretty or granular, but should do the get you by in the meantime. |
