Hey everybody, this is my first post on this site, I have a question about the Apache server.

I built a website which has now grown considerably, which makes use of some flash elements and a footer which is included with javascript and quite a lot of (optimized) pictures. All this time I have only tested locally on my PC.

I now have Apache running on an old laptop, and everything set up according to instructions. But if I test the website on my domain, it blocks the entire system after a while and I have to reset. I've changed foldernames, the way to load flash and have tested every link, picture and document for errors, but Apache keeps jamming...

Is there anything I overlooked? I am really a beginner in this, but it doesn't seem normal that a whole system crashes on a page where for instance the path to an image is missing. I will now try to make all links absolute, but I don't know if my code has anything to do with it.

It seems more a problem in the server, because I now restart etc/init.d/networking and the whole page works again for a while. Also I looked with HTOP at the processes and it all goes pretty fast. Do I have .htaccess configurated wrong or something?

Does anyone have ideas?
Thanks in advance!

What is your hardware? I assume you running linux on it. Which distro?
What is in the apache error log about that? Which apache version do you use?
