I'm running 2.3 about 6 month now. Except of the normal beta issues, I wasn't able to build mod_php against 2.3. Good there is mod_fcgid. Mod_fcgid still has the issue like under 2.2 (we discussed it already in the forum). With the patch from the bug report 50309 it works stable.

The coolest thing I noticed in 2.3 is that you can use a different URL in reverse proxy situation. With 2.2 I had the real url like from the backend server. e.g http://example.com/gui/ to match http://INTERNAL_IP:8080/gui/ now I can use http://example.com/what_I_like/

Under linux and freebsd I like the new loadable MPMs. Thats nice to run multiple instances with the same binaries and / or change the mpm with a graceful restart.

Mod lua. Not my stuff I must say. A 500 error if I do a syntax error it not the same as with PHP syntax errors Wink

I haven't tried to compile mod subversion against 2.3 I hope it will. I need it.

Thanks for the headup!

Sure thing, my plan is to add it to 5.4 and trunk
and later in 5.3. I plan to do it later this month. Have you bins
already in apachelounge.com for this branch?
