I have the following in my httpd.conf :
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName andrewpc.com
DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm
DocumentRoot "C:/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs"
ServerAlias www.andrewpc.com
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
</VirtualHost>
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName drupal7.com
DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm
DocumentRoot "C:/www"
ServerAlias www.drupal7.com
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
<Directory "c:/www/Drupal7">
Options FollowSymLinks Indexes
AllowOverride FileInfo
Order Allow,Deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
All I get is a 403 error (client denied by server configuration), until I change the Directory directive to point to c:/www which then works fine.
Permissions are set to full on the entire c:\www directory structure.
All the relevant entries are present in my hosts file.
My OS is Windows Vista SP2, php v5.3.2.
Getting frustrated

Solved, by setting the following:
