I am a new user to Apache and know almost nothing about it, other than that it functions as kind of web hosting software. I want to use Apache to learn PHP and mySQL, however I have run into an early road block. During the installation and upon starting Apache I get this error message:
"(OS 10048)Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.
:make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80
Unable to open logs"
Also, when I click Monitor Apache Servers, I get an error message that states: "Apache monitor is already started"
I am working on a Window 7 laptop and I am using Apache v2.2.16. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Try close Skype
or other software that use port 80
This error means that some application use port 80 and cannot bind for this port |
