Even All.
glsmith.. my Cowboys and your Chargers aren't doing very well...lol
First, let me say that I have become dangerous trying new things. My private website is running and I added comment sections and all.
So now I am becoming more dangerous by trying to change the comment sections to forums. I dont think I did it right, but this is what I did.
I installed PHP v5.3.3 VC6 x86 thread save.
I installed MySQL server 5.1.(something)
I installed the SMF files.
Now, when I go to http:blahblahblah in order to make it work it comes up kinda like a text file in the browser. Don't think it is supposed to do that, I am supposed to get a screen that allows me to set my parameters.
This is kinda vague and I will be glad to supply more info if needed but please be a little patient.
Thanx and be safe. |

Morn glsmith.
Hope all is ok on the homefront.
It took me about 2 hours yesterday morn to figure out that it modified my httpd.conf file so I had to stop and restart Apache2 services. Then it wouldn't restart. I remembered reading that sometimes after modifying the php.ini file you might have to do a restart in order for changes to take effect. Did that and it all came together.
Thanx for you help. |
