I would like to introduce to you Apache Logs Viewer. This is a free tool to monitor the website access logs. It runs in windows and is quite handly to watch the logs in real time in a more pleasant way.

Together with this you can also generate some pretty good reports (bar/pie charts) and gather statistics from the access logs.

Will there ever be support for the error log?
On heavy usage the viewer was very behind the log. Is that viewer build for live viewing?

As yet there are no plans to open the error log.

Yes Apache Logs viewer is meant to watch live logs. The thing to keep in mind is that it is impossible for us to watch logs which are being heavily used.

Apache Logs Viewer will refresh every 30seconds, by default but this setting can be changed from the preferences.

A new beta has been released last week which is much faster in displaying items in the window. It can be downloaded from here http://www.apacheviewer.com/beta.php
