|
|
Hi,
I am trying to configure Apahce, PHP5, and MySQL on my Windows 2008 server as a designated web server to run Drupal. I have edited the appropriate conf files such as php.ini and httpd, but when I test the httpd file using windows cmd, I get the error saying that the sis-by-side configuration is incorrect.
Does anyone know why this is? I have followed the instructions to the letter using the following help: http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2009/04/13/how-to-install-php-on-windows/
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I have not run the MS Redistribution tool. I will download it and run it.
I downloaded Apache from the Apache site... |

Than the M$ Redistributable Package should not be needed. Which version of PHP did you download? VS6 Thread safe? |

Looking at the page you pointed to, and following the 5.3.1 Windows binary link at php.net, right at the top is VS9 version. Logic dictates that unless you know the difference, a person would go with the first one they saw and those first 6 links would require the redist package. |

The VS9 builds do not run with apache.org apache. See the readme (Which version do I choose?) on the left. Also as module you have to use the thread safe one.
@Gregg you are right that is not clear enough for noobs. Maybe Pierre can change that order |
